Shipping containers for sale in Vilnius and across Lithuania

Conway Container Solutions has supplied shipping containers to companies and private buyers since 2018. Our Lithuanian branch is in Vilnius (Eigulių g. 2) and the group head office is in Riga. With more than 100 terminal contracts we can source a single container for a homestead or dozens of units for a logistics company.

This page covers every container type we sell - new, used, refrigerated and special - and explains how to pick the right size and what the price of a shipping container depends on.

Container types we sell

  • New (one-trip) containers have made a single voyage, carry a valid CSC plate and look almost new. The best choice for shipping cargo, long-term use and conversion into a home or office. New shipping containers
  • Used containers are inspected units graded CW (cargo worthy) or WWT (wind & water tight). The most economical option for storage, building sites and farms. Used shipping containers
  • Reefer containers are insulated containers with a cooling unit for cargo that must stay at a set temperature. Reefer containers
  • Special containers - Open Top, Flat Rack, Open Side, double-door and tank containers for out-of-gauge or liquid cargo. Special containers

What we have in the Vilnius and Klaipėda terminals right now, how many and from what price, is listed under Shipping container prices.

Shipping container dimensions: 10, 20, 40 and 45 ft

Shipping containers are built to ISO standards, so their sizes are the same all over the world. In Lithuania people often name them by length - a 20ft container is the "6-metre" one and a 40ft container the "12-metre" one. Most sizes also come as High Cube, about 30 cm taller, and as Pallet Wide, which is wider inside.

How to choose a shipping container

  • What is it for? For storage a used WWT container is enough. To ship cargo you need a CW container with a valid CSC plate. For a home, office or sauna, a new High Cube container is the better base.
  • How much space? A 20ft container holds about 33 m³ or 11 euro pallets; a 40ft holds about 67 m³ or 25 euro pallets.
  • Where will it stand? The delivery truck needs access and the ground must be level and firm. See How to prepare the ground for a container.
  • Buy or rent? If you need it only for a while, look at shipping container rental.

Torn between two sizes? 20ft or 40ft container compares them side by side.

How much does a shipping container cost?

The price depends on size, condition (new, CW or WWT), height (standard or High Cube), quantity and the delivery address. Market prices also move with global demand for containers, so we prepare an individual quote for every buyer.

“From” prices by size, type and grade are listed under Shipping container prices. What makes up the price is explained in How much does a shipping container cost.

Delivery anywhere in Lithuania

We deliver to Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys and smaller places across Lithuania, and also to Latvia, Estonia and Scandinavia by road, rail and sea. On site the container is placed with a crane truck or a side loader that sets it down next to the truck - even where space is tight. More under Transport services.

Standards and documents

Our containers meet ISO standards (ISO 830, 668, 6346, 1161, 1496-1). Units sold for shipping have a valid CSC plate (at least 12 months) and a registered BIC code, and comply with the TIR convention for road transport and UIC 592-1 for rail.
