The 40ft (12 m) container has twice the space of a 20ft one, so it is chosen for larger loads, business storage and modular buildings. The Pallet Wide version is wider inside, so euro pallets stand in it more tightly. Used containers are graded CW (cargo worthy) or WWT (wind & water tight), so they keep out wind and water. A CW container with a valid CSC plate can also carry cargo.
